My vision began for Sana Vida over 17 years ago as a a tranquil sanctuary to restore, heal, learn and
open one's mind to all possibilities. I am so proud to have gathered and collaborated with such a
special group of practitioners and teachers who share in my vision and purpose. I am honored to be
able to offer this experience to you.
Our Mission at Sana Vida is to:

Patti McCormick
Our Team of Professionals
CHINESE MEDICINE
Patti McCormick is the Owner, Licensed Acupuncturist, Yoga Instructor and Tea Connoisseur.
She has been involved in natural health since 1994. Her love for Eastern medicine began during her career as an engineer and has
expanded to include a yoga studio and tea bar specializing in healing green teas.
She is nationally certified and state licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. She has a Master's of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine, which is a nationally recognized four year college for
acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. Patti earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering from Texas A & M University, allowing her to practice as an engineer for six years before transitioning into her career in acupuncture.
Her yoga practice began in 1997 and has been instructing yoga since 2004 with nearly 600 classes under her belt. Patti is a certified Golf Fitness Instructor, trained by the Titleist Performance Institute. She has developed a Golf Rehabilitation Program for golfers in pain that incorporates physical screenings, customized workouts and additional therapies
including acupuncture and yoga therapy.
As one of the founding board members of Camp Phoenix, a non-profit that provides therapeutic services to children survivors of abuse and neglect in the Hill Country of Central Texas, Patti helps develop
programming and fundraising for the many services that include yoga, meditation, art therapy, counseling, the outdoor activities such as zip lining, hiking and ropes courses.
Patti has advanced training in the most difficult cases and has dedicated herself to providing extraordinary healing experiences to thousands of
patients through more than 19,000 acupuncture treatments. Today, she dedicates her days to developing Sana Vida as a wellness community full of hope and healing.
Patti spends her down time with her husband and two children, Gray and Lola.

Carolyn Barrows brings a multi disciplined holistic background to her practice of skin therapy. In her pursuit of living and assisting others with a balanced healthy approach to life she holds a massage license, yoga teacher training and esthetician license. Since the skin is the largest organ of the body the
importance of how we take care of it can't be overstated. Carolyn stresses the importance of what we put into our bodies as well as on our skin. Healthful foods, enough water and sleep are as important as what we nourish our skin with from the outside. Graduating from Paul Mitchell/International Dermal Institute in Costa Mesa, California, the program stresses a European based
program that strives for a strong medical understanding of the skin as well as the achievement of cosmetic
results. Whether your skin care goals are maintenance, anti aging, acne care or simply a relaxing, pampering
escape Carolyn is excited to help you with these goals.

Gina Caccavalla AHPI, PRYT, ERYT 500
founder of AyurYogaSpa, is a Nationally Registered, Multi-Certified, Ayurveda Health Practitioner , Mind & Body Yoga Therapist and Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher. She is a graduate and presently continuing her clinical internship at the California College of Ayurveda also a member of N.A.M.A., the National Ayurveda Medical Association.
Gina is natural, holistic health care provider and preventive medicine specialist working in the
fields of Stress, Weight, Pain and Disease Management. She has over 30 years of professional experience, sharing her knowledge in public and private practice. AyurYogaSpa, is Gina’s expression of blending contemporary health, beauty, fitness and wellness with the wisdom of ancient healing arts, science and medicine.
Gina’s years of extensive personal study and formal training in Ayurveda and Yoga began in 1980 and continue today in the following school lineages: Integral, Sivananda, Kripalu, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, The California College of Ayurveda and The Center of Spiritual Awareness for Kriya Yoga. She logs well over 5000 hours of professional training and teaching as recorded by The National Yoga Alliance recognized with their highest rating as an Experienced Yoga Teacher 500 Certification. Presently she is completing her internship as Clinical Ayurveda Specialist and Panchakarma Specialist demonstrating the deepest levels of commitment and training for clinical disease management and prevention at the California College of Ayurveda.
In addition, she spent over 10 years studying traditional Chinese Yoga with Martial Arts including: Chi Kung, Nei Kung,Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, Chinese Kickboxing and Tiger Crane Hung Gar Shaolin Kung Fu, awarding her rankings as 1st Degree Black Sash and Certified “Sifu” Instructor .
During this time she practiced blending various forms of western fitness such as weight training, body building, circuit and indoor/outdoor cardio-cross training with her complimentary eastern counterparts. Here she developed her own personal style of all levels friendly, mind/body fitness and wellness training.
For over 6 years she built, owned and operated New World Produce Company; a live food, fresh sprout, miniature vegetable/herb farm and raw juice company which is still operating today in the tradition of Hippocrates Health Institute. Here she was a volunteer cook at the East West Community Center and Restaurant for Macrobiotic Living presently known as Casa de Luz, located in Austin Texas.
After selling her company, she spent 10 more years continuing to share her enthusiasm for holistic
health at the nationally recognized destination, Lake Austin Spa Resort. There she cooked, lectured and helped to begin, expand and teach their mind/body fitness and lifestyle programs. These included yoga, tai chi, pilates, NIA dance, wellness packages, private sessions and healing spa services.
Gina specializes in: all levels friendly, custom programs for stress, weight, pain, disease management and prevention. She offers public and private sessions to individuals, couples or groups. Her methods are motivational, fun, educational, loving, supportive, self-paced and very effective!
The techniques she uses are a blend of ancient and contemporary modalities. These may include any combination of mind/body specific sense therapies such as: natural foods diet, nutrition, herbal remedies, nature ,exercise, rest, healing body treatments, simple holistic lifestyle techniques, aromatherapy, color therapy, sound therapy , journaling, yoga, breathing, mantra, meditation, and deep relaxation. She provides ongoing support for long term success with happily living in balance. Her compassionate and inspiring style emphasizes quality of life, while honoring and elevating each student’s unique mind, body and spirit.
Originally from New York, Gina is an avid tri- coastal traveler. She happily spends her personal and professional time at ashrams, retreats, resorts, and spas, living this life for the love of it with the intention of sharing this timely balanced blend of contemporary wellness and ancient healing wisdom, she calls: “The Modern Prescription for Abundant Health, Happiness and Prosperity!”.
HYPNOTHERAPY
Sheila Dudley Sheila Dudley is a Certified Clinical and Medical Support Hypnotherapist and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner. She received her education from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is recognized through the International Board of Hypnotherapy and the American Council of Hypnotistic Examiners. Sheila studies the effects of positive thought and language on the mind and body. She also specializes in imagination, creative visualization, and relaxation techniques for healing and personal growth. Sheila is also a motivational and public speaker, facilitating workshops and talks every opportunity she gets. She speaks about self-hypnosis, healing, positivity, optimism, creativity and manifestation, as well as anything that speaks to the creative intelligence that infuses all life. Because she loves union, she is also an ordained minister and marries people for fun. Her background in hair styling and make-up artistry paved the way for her career in hypnotherapy. By listening to her clients, she began to understand her great empathy and compassion for others. The focus on beauty and creativity helped her carve her own unique style of hypnosis that spans from medical to meta-physical. Sheila once had an issue with chronic pain, and pursued every allopathic, homeopathic, and spiritual avenue to heal herself. After she went to a hypnotherapist, her pain deceased so much that she made a vow to herself: If she could overcome chronic pain, through the use of hypnosis, she would become a hypnotherapist, and that is exactly what happened.

BODYWORK & YOGA
Trish von Halla has made massage her life’s work. Since 1980, she has pursued this profession
and no other. Even in her spare time, what she does for fun is to read books related to her profession.
She is fully certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
Trish has a non-linear talent for sensing the exact location of a person’s discomfort, and then for
working with it in such a way that it is not inflamed. She is highly nurturing because she is highly
attuned to her ability to sense. Among the techniques Trish has studied are shiatsu, acupressure,
Lomi Lomi, Thai (in Thailand), Zero Balancing, Swedish / Deep Tissue, Cranial Sacral, and positional release. These techniques may appear to be superficially distinct, but all trails lead to
the mountaintop.
Connie Mendoza has been a practicing body therapist since 1992, teaching yoga since 2003, and has
been in the field of health and fitness since 1984. She employs a natural and non-invasive approach that
accelerates healing. Connie specializes in strengthening the body mind connection, and relieving mental and
emotional stress in those who are facing life's important decisions. Her work is designed to enhance the quality and wellness of one's life. She has a nurturing touch and calm demeanor. Her focus when teaching is to bring you to a centered, tranquil state of being, from which your creative energy may be liberated and expressed. Her touch is strong, yet soft. Her sense-of-humor, wit, and wisdom bring lightness to many situations. Ongoing training and education continually refines Connies treatments, and you receive the benefit. Practice modalities includes and not limited to: Acupressure, Intuitive Massage Therapy, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Shiatsu and Ashiatsu, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Hatha Yoga and Qigong.
Annie Blakely is honored to assist others on their unique paths toward healing. In September 2007, she completed 750 hours of Professional Massage Practitioner training in Flagstaff, Arizona, through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. Annie earned
national certification credentials from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and
Bodywork in October 2008. She specializes in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage,
Prenatal Massage, Chair Massage, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral and Reiki. She naturally gives deeper massages.
Annie earned her print journalism degree from Texas State University in 2003 and worked as a
newspaper reporter for several years before massage therapy called her name. For years shed had frequent headaches that only improved after massages, and that was very powerful to her. She wanted to help people feel better by reducing their stress levels, releasing tension and working through injuries. Now providing relief to her clients is a passion! She and her fiance live on their ranch in Buchanan Dam. Writing and photography are hobbies that she actively pursues.
Shannon Durling, a Certified Reflexologist, received her training from the prestigious International
Institute of Reflexology in Florida. This school is recognized throughout the world with campuses in
South Africa, Europe and Canada. Originally from Michigan, Shannon moved to Texas over 20 years ago and
has always believed in the philosophy of natural health from the inside out.
Lindsay Plante, As a Marble Falls native, Lindsay has returned to her roots. She discovered yoga in Fort Worth, Texas, when she was given a monthly pass to a yoga studio as a birthday present. Yoga has had a
profound effect on her life and is something she loves to share with others. Lindsay is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance; certified to teach prenatal yoga by OmMama, LLC; and a Certified HypnoBirthing
Practitioner.She received her 200-hour teacher training from Living Yoga Program in Austin, Texas. Lindsay teaches an eclectic style of Hatha yoga, honoring all yogic traditions and styles. Her classes are taught with mindfulness, compassion, encouragement, and respect for each person's unique abilities. Judy Beasley is a nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (R.T.Y.). After being a serious student of yoga for more than 18 years, she completed her Yoga Alliance approved teacher training in 2003. She retired from the Spiritual Care Department at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center and taught yoga at several locations in Houston and Richmond, Texas. In 2005 Judy, her husband and two small dogs relocated to Marble Falls where she continues teaching yoga. Judy continues her yoga education by attending workshops, classes, retreats and conferences as well as extensive self-study projects. Her classes offer an eclectic mix of yoga styles
emphasizing breath work, stability, balance, stretching, and flexibility; each class closes with a period of deep relaxation. Judy encourages practical modifications for students at various levels in a casual, gentle atmosphere.
Randi Born is a nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). She escaped the practice of law after a move from Houston with her husband and two daughters in 2003. Randi discovered yoga at the tender age of 50 and began her Yoga Alliance© teacher certification training two years later. She has been teaching yoga to alternative high school students and their hard working teachers since 2009.
Elizabeth Strong is a nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). She is our newest addition to the Sana Vida Team of yoga instructors. Elizabeth has been practicing yoga for 21 years and teaching for 11 years. She is Yoga Alliance certified and completed her Yoga Teacher Training in Houston. Before coming to Sana Vida, Elizabeth owned and operated two successful yoga studios in Colorado and has had an extensive teaching history in Missouri. Elizabeth’s other love is art. She completed her Fine Arts degree through the Art Institute of Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys practicing her art and spending time with her son.
Lee Middlebrooks completed her training through YogaFit, after starting her yoga journey with Sana Vida in 2004 as a student. She now regularly instructs our popular Flow classes, as well as our Zumba Fitness Class.
Lee travels several times a year to teach yoga in locations such as Mexico, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. Lee assists as a lecturer during our Yoga Spa Retreat Weekends,
educating clients on tea, aromatherapy and gemstones.
Cydney Littlejohn moved to the area from San Angelo, TX where she earned a Bachelors of Marketing from Angelo State University. She gets tremendous joy from working in an environment where people come to get healthy, naturally. Cydney loves helping people find the modality that will best serve them and seeing people’s healing progress as they work with the teachers and therapist. She added yoga to her life's journey when she came to Sana Vida and has become a staple in her life. She puts her degree to work behind the scenes of Sana Vida and enjoys promoting our wellness spa and yoga studios in her daily work. Cydney works on the Sana Vida team doing marketing and the front desk. In her spare time, she enjoys doing pottery, spending time with her precious family, and hiking around the beautiful hill country.
Keith Stanley spent 22 years in the natural foods industry, retiring with the title Global Incentive Compensation Manager. He left that work to pursue his dream of helping others achieve their potential. Stanley has been a spiritual seeker and truth student for 25 years. He has traveled literally around the world accumulating a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has been a yoga student for many years as part of his own spiritual path. Yoga has been instrumental in his physical, emotional, mental and spiritual growth. Keith completed his Kundalini Yoga teacher training through Yoga Yoga in Austin, Texas.
