Yoga 101
Beginner Series
Thursdays January 19th - February 9th
Time: 5:30 - 6:45pm
Facilitator: Carolyn Barrows
Price: $19 per class or pre-pay for all 4 for $65
We are pleased to offer a 4 week series to focus on the foundations of yoga. Yoga is a system that incorporates breathing with exercises and postures, and meditation intended to integrate the body, mind and spirit. This workshop series will be beneficial to anyone that wants to start a yogic journey or has already began but wishes to broaden their understanding of the basic principles of yoga.
Jan 19 - Introduction
Discuss class etiquette, learn the do's and don'ts, what to wear and what not to wear, hear the lingo, how to use props, and touch on the different styles of yoga. A gentle yoga practice will conclude this class.
Jan 26 - Breathe
Yes, we all do it involuntarily however; specific mental and physical benefits can come from breathing exercises. During this session, breathing with movement will be introduced as well as types of breathing exercises for relaxing/energizing and cooling/heating the body. Incorporated with this practice will be a gentle yoga class.
Feb 2 - Sun Salutations
Learn how to move through a series of 12 yoga postures performed in a single graceful flow with each movement coordinated with the breath. It is common to have a sun salutation in active beginner yoga classes. This week's focus will be on the individual poses in a sun salutation with an emphasis on proper alignment.
Feb 9 - Yin Yoga
Slow down, rest, restore, and relax. This session will have a more intensive use of props in restful, restorative poses taking time to explore each posture. Meditative tips and techniques will be given followed by a guided mediation.

Sacred Sensuality and Exotic Moves
with Sana Vida Favorite, Dr. Deb Kern!
Date: Saturday, April 14th
Time: 12 - 3 pm
Price: $55
Join Deb Kern on a journey to connect to your sacred sensual self. From this empowered place, you will learn how to move more sensually and experience the sacredness, joy and power of embodying the fullness of your sensuality.
What her students are saying:
"In Deb's exotic moves class I had the chance to open my divine femininity and feel loving, fully-embodied, & sexy. I was unashamed to feel beautiful, curvy, and whole as a woman. Deb bravely demonstrated for the class how fully sensual and present we can be as we move and I saw in her complete purity and fullness of heart and spirit that templated for me how my own sensual/sexual/feminine side can be fully powerful, beautiful, irresistible, and me without the tricks, coyness or dirty feeling sexuality or allure can have in our society. I felt the dancing was an appreciation of life and love--not wanting to miss an ounce of this amazing body and spirit and moment."
This class is for women of all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness abilities!

What Clients
Are Saying!
"I have been trying to sum up what I like about your Tuesday and Thursday
yoga classes. Besides the strength, flexibility and confidence the classes have brought to my life,
I am always thankful I take the time out for myself. I look forward to the
serenity and being in connection with my own spirit during and after your class. I feel an awakening
to my inner being, contentment and the feeling of a job well done. There are times I feel to tired or
just not in the mood to go, but I am always glad I went and shared the experience with the others that
attend your class. We have a united feeling, like being with family. We are together and not better
than one another, supportive and caring. Thank you for this wonderful experience."
